DEAR ALLY

it’s okey that you don’t understand all the
nuances of racism, it’s complicated. We are glad
you want to learn, we can help.”

ABOUT US

DEAR ALLY is a documentary series about
racism, presented as a collection of love letters to
our allies and future allies, in the quest for
solidarity. It is created with hope and goodwill,
and made for people who want to better
understand the experiences of BIPOC people so
they can better support us.

Mission

This ally-funded and BIPOC created series will focus on various aspects of racism. From the importance of the role of an ally, to the complexities of
intersectionality and the realness of self-shaming caused by systemic racism, these things
need to be explained. read more…

Money

Where will the money go?
All funds raised will first be used to compensate the people contributing to the series for their
time and effort. While making every effort to keep this a low budget series (the importance is in
the conversation, not the special effects), we want people to be paid for the work they are
doing.

Movement

The creation of this series is in support of the movement to change the system.
By representing the empowered voices of BIPOC people using the strategy of “calling in” our
allies, we hope this series will bring us closer to the unification we will need to make and
impact.
